Learning Through Encounter
Teaching, workshops and reflective practice
Experiential workshops and group learning
There is something particular about learning in a group. We experience the material alongside other people, and the group itself becomes part of the learning. Through the questions that arise, the conversations that develop and the ways people respond to what is unfolding, each group creates something of its own.
A session can offer something to think about, but also something to encounter: the unfolding of an idea, a conversation, a moment of recognition, or the discovery that something is shared. No two groups are quite the same, as each group finds its own way into the conversation.
The philosophy behind my work
We come to understand ourselves and the world around us in many different ways. Learning can begin with an idea, but it often becomes more meaningful when we have the opportunity to link it with our own experience. My work focuses on creating thoughtful learning experiences where people can explore, reflect and discover what resonates with them.

How I facilitate
Every group develops its own way of engaging. Part of my role is paying attention to the relationship between the group and the theme we are exploring, adapting the pace, structure and conversation while keeping hold of the purpose of the session.
Sessions have a clear structure and purpose, while allowing room for different ways of participating. There may be opportunities to reflect individually, talk with another person, contribute to the wider group or engage through an experiential activity. The intention is to create a space where people can find their own way into the work, while remaining part of the group.
What this could look like for you
My work takes different forms depending on the people, purpose and setting. It may involve teaching, facilitation or workshop design, but each is shaped by the same commitment to thoughtful, experiential learning and meaningful participation.

I often facilitate conversations that don't have simple answers. I aim to create space for complexity, difference and uncertainty, allowing groups to stay with a question, explore different ways of understanding it and remain curious about what emerges.
If this approach resonates with what you're hoping to create, I'd be pleased to hear from you.
