Psychotherapy in Southsea, Portsmouth and Online
People often come to therapy when something in their life feels unresolved or difficult to understand. You might be questioning your relationships, your direction, or feeling out of step with yourself.

I’m a psychotherapist offering weekly therapy in Southsea, Portsmouth, and online. My work is relational and reflective, allowing time to explore what feels unclear and to develop a deeper understanding of yourself over time.
Why People Seek Therapy?
Psychotherapist in Southsea & Online | Sarah Adele
People come to therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes there is a clear difficulty — anxiety, low mood, or problems in relationships. At other times, it’s harder to pinpoint. There may be a sense of unease, disconnection, or feeling stuck in ways that don’t quite make sense

You might recognise yourself in some of the following:
-
Repeating patterns in relationships that feel hard to shift
-
Ongoing self-doubt or inner conflict
-
Feeling constrained, dissatisfied, or not fully yourself
-
Difficulty making decisions or trusting your own judgement
-
Periods of anxiety, low mood, or emotional numbness
-
Times of transition, loss, or change that have unsettled your sense of direction
Therapy offers a place to slow down and make sense of these experiences more thoughtfully. The focus is to understand how things have come to be as they are, and what might begin to change when they are held differently.

Your Options
I offer weekly psychotherapy sessions, either face-to-face in Southsea and Portsmouth, or online. I work with adults from a wide range of backgrounds, and sessions take place in a private, confidential setting.

Some people come with a specific issue they want to focus on; others arrive with a more general sense of unease or a wish to understand themselves better. Therapy can be time-limited or longer-term, and this is something we can think about together in our early sessions and return to as the work develops.
Starting Out
Before beginning therapy, I offer a free 30-minute online call. This is an opportunity to meet briefly, talk about what has brought you here, and ask any questions you may have.

There is no expectation to decide anything during this call. It’s simply a chance to get a sense of how I work, and whether taking things further feels right for you.
Is This For Me?
You might be considering therapy because something in you wants more honesty, more room to think, or a different relationship with yourself and others — even if you’re not sure what that looks like yet.

This way of working suits people who are open to staying with questions for a while, and who are interested in understanding themselves more fully. If this feels relevant to you, you may find this work supportive.
